Serious two-vehicle accident in Oxford

OXFORD -- Police are investigating a serious accident on Route 67 near the Southbury town line that occurred Monday morning.

The crash was between a dump truck and a minivan, and the State Police accident reconstruction team is on the scene. The highway is closed in both directions for the time being.

Police would not comment on the nature of any injuries, or whether the crash resulted in a fatality.
