Riverside Pack 2 Cub Scouts recently held their Pinewood Derby race at First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich. More than 20 scouts crafted amazingly beautiful cars from simple blocks of wood and trophies were awarded for speed on the track, originality, workmanship and appearance. Steve Warzoha volunteered to call the races and did a spectacular job leading the boys. Cubmaster Chris Pey oversaw the ceremonies. Awards were given to Matthew Pilic for 1st Place; Charlie Adorney for 2nd Place; Jack Turkeltaub for 3rd Place; Nicholas Goligoski for Originality; Carter Simko for Best Appearance; and Devin Kan for Workmanship. All boys learned a wonderful lesson in sportsmanship."
