Rebuilding the Greenwich Point beach post Sandy

Beginning the Tuesday after Hurricane Sandy hit town, crews from FEMA and the Marine and Facilities Operation Division began to scrape up the displaced sand at Greenwich Point and return it, leveled, to the beach.

"This is the biggest (sand) displacement I've seen in 18 years working with the town," said Craig Whitcomb, the manager of the Town's Marine and Facilities Operation Division.
