Childe Hassam had an impressive artist studio in New York City with a view of Central Park but when he came to paint interiors in Cos Cob, he gravitated to the North Bedroom of "The Old House." It was there, in the North Bedroom, that he painted this picture of his wife Maud, "Morning Light, 1914."
