Caulley signed with the Washington Redskins, a team near his hometown of Lusby, Md. A 5-foot-7 tailback, Caulley holds nearly every major rushing record in UConn history. He leaves UConn with 570 attempts for 3,187 yards (5.6 average) and 31 touchdowns after an injury-marred career. Caulley had a school record 13 career 100-yard rushing games.
Defensive tackle Ray Blagman agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals and tight end Dan Murray signed with the Jacksonsville Jaguars.
Blagman played in 33 games for the Huskies with 13 starts and finished with 59 career tackles, including 6.5 for a loss, 1.5 of which were sacks.
The 6-5 Murray played in 44 games with 26 starts for UConn, catching 70 passes for 928 yards and 10 touchdown. The 10 touchdown catches tie for second-best in school history among tight ends. Ward, a defensive end, missed the entire 2006 season due to injury. A Montreal native, he was drafted by the Lions last spring. He appeared in 25 career games at UConn, finishing with 36 tackles and 3 sacks.
The deals will become official as they report to their respective teams' rookie mini camps.
