I'm a widow.

Yes, four and seven grandchildren.
Are you retired?
Yes, you wouldn't catch me going to work.
What did you do when you were working full time?
I was a secretary for the City of Stamford. I worked for the Stamford High School. I liked that job. I could have stayed longer.
What are your main hobbies and interests?
Bird watching. I love to watch the birds. I have a birdfeeder. I have lots of ceramic birds, bird placemats. I save pictures of birds on calendars. I'm a birder person. I used to do some sewing. I used to like to make my own clothes.
Are you computer savvy?
I don't have a computer. If I want to know something about computers I ask my kids.
Do you have a favorite sport?
I used to like ice skating. I don't do it anymore.
Do you have a favorite book?
I read "Gone with the Wind." That was something.
Do you have a favorite work of art?
Mona Lisa, I saw that in Paris. I was kind of disappointed. A lot of people there thought it was just grand.
Do you listen to music?
It's classical. I don't care for the boom, boom stuff. I used to like the popular crooners of the day.
Do you have a favorite piece of music?
"All the Things You Are." They play that for me at my exercise program.
Do you have a favorite movie?
"Casablanca," probably.
Do you have a favorite actor or actress?
I used to like Van Heflin. Bette Davis I used to enjoy watching her, and Katherine Hepburn.
What is a TV show that you watch regularly?
I watch the movie channel all the time. I watch TCM. I enjoy the old classics.
Who do you think was the best President of the United States?
I might go with Ronald Reagan. A lot think he was the best president -- besides, he was handsome.
If you could tell the president of the United States one thing, now, what would it be?
Hang in there kid. He's having a struggle. I just wish him the best of luck. It's not easy to be President.
What is your greatest guilty pleasure?
A box of chocolates.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Why some people drive sometimes like they do.
Do you have any regrets in life?
I wish I had studied languages, gone to college studying French and German. But it wasn't possible.
What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
Giving birth to my four kids. I just loved being a mother and having babies.
Best piece of advice to give to the younger generation?
Finish school. Don't do drugs. Don't smoke. Go easy on the drinking. Use common sense in how you do your life.
What gives you your greatest joy?
My kids again. I also have a man friend that gives me a lot of pleasure, my sweetheart Joe. I met him in 1945. We worked together in the same war plant, making parts for airplanes in Greenwich. We went our separate ways and then teamed up again in the Senior Center 10 years ago. He was a widower and I was a widow. It's so nice to get back with him again.
What are you looking forward to?
Looking forward to summer. We like to take rides on the Island Beach Ferry.
