Mrs. Kennedy was born in Earlville, N.Y., daughter of the late Clyde Loomis and Gertrude (White) Williamson.
She was raised in New London, and graduated from high school in Syracuse, N.Y., and as a registered nurse from Columbia Presbyterian School of Nursing in 1934.
In 1938, she married and settled in Sherman. She was actively involved in numerous volunteer activities, including the Sherman Congregational Church, the Sherman Sentinel and the Sherman Historical Society. She was a founding member of the Sherman Commission on Aging.
She managed her husband's family business, Kennedy Bros., Inc., and served as school nurse for a period of years at the Wooster School in Danbury and the Kent School.
In 1981, she and her husband moved to King City, Ore., to retire. Her volunteer work continued there.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by three sons, Robert Jr. and his wife Marjorie Ronald of Lake Oswego, Ore., the Rev. Thomas B. Kennedy and his wife Joanna Warner of Brookline, Mass., and Bruce and his wife Claudia Lamberti of Kailua, Hawaii; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Hopwood of Portland, Ore., and Janet Norton of Camden, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sherman Church, Church Road in Sherman. Interment of her ashes will be at the Coburn Cemetery in Sherman.
