"With a much higher pedestrian traffic on Halloween," Trooper Asman said, "it is important to keep our citizens and visitors safe. The necklaces promote a higher visibility for children and adults at night."
The program will be sponsored by the Lions Club and Park and Recreation.
"We encourage Kent families to stop by and get their free necklaces," said Mrs. Ferris, "regardless of where they are planning to trick-or-treat on Halloween."
