He received his bachelors and masters degree in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J.
Mr. Gannon was an engineering manager with several companies, including American Can of Greenwich for 22 years and most recently retired from Branson/American Technologies of Danbury as senior production planner.
He loved to explore the world, traveling with his wife to many exotic places around the globe.
Locally, he enjoyed planting his gardens and fishing with his son and son-in-law.
He was a man devoted to his faith, his wife, and his family. His gentle spirit will be remembered by everyone whose life he touched.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Carol (Paradick) Gannon of Trumbull; three children, Craig Gannon and his wife Sandra of Brookfield, Cindie Niemiera and her husband John of New Milford and Sue Sheaffer of Kent; a sister, Claudia Walsh of Clinton Township, Mich.; six grandchildren, Lisa, Nicole, Ashley and Brittany Gannon and John and Kyle Sheaffer; and a great-grandson, David Niemiera. He was predeceased by a son, Edgar.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral services today (Friday) at 9:15 a.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road and at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen's Church. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
