Celebrating community: Chabad of Greenwich gala honors those who are part of "something bigger"

Chabad of Greenwich recently held its annual gala at the Tamarack Country Club. More than 250 supporters of Chabad of Greenwich were on hand for the event. Lisa and Jonathan Daniel were the Guests of Honor for the evening. Maya Hecht received the Outstanding Educator Award, and Jonathan Muhlrad, a senior at Greenwich High School was honored as the Teen of the Year. Comedian and author Joel Chasnoff provided entertainment after the formal presentations.

Rabbi Yossi Deren was touched by both the Greenwich community and the evening's honorees. "This is a unique community," he noted, "primarily because so many of you step up to the plate to make good things happen here. Greenwich really is special. All the honorees are a shining example of how beautiful life can be when you're a part of something bigger."
