Cara Ann Ceraso, an attorney with Pullman & Comley in Bridgeport, is a recipient of this year's "40 Under 40" award from the Fairfield County Business Journal. Ceraso and the other recipients of the award will be honored at a ceremony June 20 at Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk. Ceraso is a member of Pullman & Comley's litigation department and practices in state and federal courts in New York and Connecticut. She joined Pullman & Comley in 2007. Ceraso is co-chair of the insurance coverage section of the Fairfield County Bar Association and co-chair of the Young Lawyers for WESFACCA. She is on the corporate leadership council for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign. She is a member of the American Bar Association; Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council, and has been rated AV Preeminent, the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Ceraso received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and received her B.A. from Boston College.
Dr. Tao-Nan Chi and Dr. Richard Zelkowitz were honored with Norwalk Hospital's 2013 William J. Tracey, MD Award for leadership, character and superior clinical skills. Physicians are nominated by their peers and the winner is selected by a special committee. Chi has worked for 39 years in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He practices with Soundview Medical Associates and is board certified in internal medicine. He is a clinical associate professor at N.Y. Medical College and a clinical instructor at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Chi graduated from Taipei Medical College and completed his residency and fellowship at Norwalk Hospital. Zelkowitz has been practicing for 26 years, after graduating from New York Medical College, completing his internship and residency at Westchester Medical Center and his fellowship at Brown. He is board certified in hematology, oncology and internal medicine. He practices with the Norwalk Medical Group, is co-medical director at The Whittingham Cancer Center. He is medical director of the Smilow Family Breast Health Center at Norwalk Hospital. Zelkowitz is a consultant at Sloan Kettering. He is a trustee of Norwalk Hospital's board of trustees and former director of Norwalk Hospital Foundation's board of directors.
Paul Boyle and Annette Martinez have been appointed to positions at New Castle Hotels & Resorts. Boyle has been named general manager and Martinez has been named director of sales and marketing of the Westport Inn in Westport. New Castle assumed management of the hotel in April. Boyle's career includes general manager positions with Starwood, Marriott and Hilton, as well as management companies including HEI Hotels & Resorts. Boyle was general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton. Martinez launched her hospitality career with Marriott in 2000 and held corporate and property-level sales positions throughout the region. Most recently, Martinez was sales manager for Holiday Inn in Bridgeport.
