Michael Pine has been appointed senior vice president of global sales and partnership marketing at WWE. Pine, who previously held senior level sales positions at Turner Broadcasting, UFC, World Triathlon Corporation, and most recently IMG, will report directly to WWE Chief Marketing Officer, Michelle Wilson. Prior to joining WWE, Pine was IMG's vice president of national sales for the company's college division. In this role, he was responsible for the daily development of national sales for IMG's College and NCAA corporate champions, and their partner programs with Turner and CBS business units. He managed IMG College's two largest national corporate partnerships, UPS and MillerCoors, accounts which exceeded $100 million. He has also held the position of global chief sales officer at Ironman-World Triathlon Corp., where he oversaw all global sales, marketing, licensing, PR and digital media sales business verticals. Pine was a captain in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1993-99. He earned his M.B.A. from Golden Gate University and his undergraduate degree in behavioral sciences from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
John Duffy has been hired as a senior mortgage salesperson at Pierpont Securities, which has an office in Stamford. He will be located in the company's New York office. Duffy has 22 years of experience in structured MBS sales and worked at Deutsche Bank Securities, JP Morgan Securities and DLJ Securities.
Brian Hommel joined Better Packages in Shelton as senior director, national sales and distribution. In his new role, Hommel will work with the company's authorized distributors in North America and Canada. He most recently worked as national sales manager at Venture Tape-GTA, a 3M company. Prior to that, he worked at Intertape Polymer Group, where he held a variety of sales management positions of increasing responsibility. Brian recently earned an master's degree in business administration from Sacred Heart University in 2012.
