Attorney General Richard Blumenthal wants the Legislature to end the system of zone pricing for gasoline. Blumenthal says the method unfairly raises the cost of gasoline in lower Fairfield County, such as at this station in Greenwich Jan. 29th, 2002. But an executive with a state petroleum council says it's not zone pricing but the decreasing number of stations that keeps area gas prices high.
