  • Henrik Lundquist is the goalie of my favorite hockey team, the New York Rangers. He is a twin, just like me. In fact it was Henrik's twin brother who, as a joke, raised his brother's hand to volunteer him for goalie. Now Henrik is one of the best goalies of all time!

Greenwich Citizen recently asked student contributors to the "Greenwich Cartooning Chronicles" newsletter to submit drawings of their favorite athletes. This compilation of artwork features submissions from cartooning students at Eastern Middle School, Central Middle School, Western Middle School, International School at Dundee, Greenwich Catholic School, Old Greenwich-Riverside Community Center, and Arch Street teen center, in programs run by Cos Cob artist Phil Lohmeyer.

We hope you enjoy their work.

For more information on the "Greenwich Cartooning Chronicles," visit www.greenwichcartooningchronicles.vpweb.com. Two Cartooning Clinics are taking place this spring: one at Old Greenwich-Riverside Community Center (203-637-3659) for elementary school students, and another at Arch Street Teen Center (203-629-5744) for middle and high school students. Both clinics are taught by Lohmeyer. (More drawings on Page B2.)
