Girls from the US Academy of Gymnastics in Riverside triumphed this weekend at their season premier gymnastics meet.

The season kicked off with a strong performance on March 4 in Meriden at Girls Inc. Seven teams from throughout the state participated in the competition. Coach Janine Acquafredda was very pleased with the collective performances of the team. "We have a great group of talented and driven young gymnasts. I couldn't be more proud of their resilience and results on Sunday," she said.

Team Captain Sutton Mock competed in the 10 and over age group and took first place with 8.9 on the balance beam and third place in the all-around. "I love competing because it gives me the opportunity to showcase my dedication and hard work," said Mock.
