Ix-Weicker

Amanda Joy Weicker, daughter of Scot Bickford Weicker and Lisa Hull Weicker of Riverside, married Christopher Prouty Ix, son of Mildred Gilmore Ix and Robert Edward Ix of Greenwich.

The July 17 wedding was performed by the

Rev. Kevin Wallin at St. Mary Church in Greenwich. A reception followed at Belle Haven Club in Greenwich.

Maid of honor was Melissa Weicker, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Deanna de Arango of New York City; Laura Keeler of Boston, Mass.; Jaclyn Halas of San Diego, Calif.; Ashley Von Glahn of Washington, D.C.; and Julie Genovese of Darien, Helen FitzPatrick of Greenwich and Alesia Klein of Princeton, N.J., sisters of the groom. Flower girls were Libby Ix of Boston and Lily Genovese of Darien, nieces of the groom.

Best man was Robert Ix of Boston, brother of the groom. Ushers were Dan FitzPatrick of Greenwich, David Genovese of Darien and Hoddy Klein of Princeton, brothers-in-law of the groom; Matthew Weicker of Riverside, brother of the bride; Antonio Riera of Stamford; Ted Carstensen of Stowe, Vt.; and Scott Kozak of Homer Glen, Ill. Ring bearers were Sam Ix of Boston, Chris Klein of Princeton and Ryan Genovese of Darien, nephews of the groom.

The bride graduated from St. George's School in Newport, R.I. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from George Washington University in Washington and is pursuing a teacher's license and a master's in education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She is an instructional aide at Las Vegas Day School. Her father owns SBW Events in Riverside. Her grandfather is former Connecticut senator and governer Lowell P. Weicker Jr.

The groom graduated from Westminster School in Simsbury. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and a master's degree in business from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business in Charlottesville. His father is a retired chief executive officer of Schweppes.

The groom is a senior financial analyst at NV Energy in Las Vegas.

The couple honeymooned in St. Croix and reside in Las Vegas.
